Our Sporting Clays range is among one of the most beautiful and interesting ranges in the entire state. It is spread out over many acres of wooded terrain along with rolling hills and natural wildlife ponds. There is a wide range of presentations that will keep you interested and challenged.
We also have a regulation Skeet Range and a Trap set-up that offers fun and practice in a short amount of time. Note: Reservation required for Skeet and Trap.
Summer Shooting Details
Open Shooting
Summer shooting at Old Vermilion Trail is some of the best in the state. We are open for sporting clays starting in late May each year.
League
Get a team of 5 – 6 shooters and join our summer sporting clays league and test your abilities against other teams, then join us for the end of league party to find out which team won.
Fall Small Gauge League
During the month of September OVT will be running a small gauge league for 410, 28, and 20 gauge shooters. This league consists of 6 sporting clay rounds during the month.
Closed for the Winter
Last day to shoot Sporting Clays for the season is October 25, 2026. We will be closed for the winter and will re-open in the spring dependent on the weather.
