End of Summer League

September 3, 2018

The 2018 summer sporting clays league wrapped up on August 30th with our yearly league party and end of season shoot. It was a beautiful afternoon and a perfect last day of the summer season. If you didn’t make it to the event we held a shoot-off between the four highest scoring summer league teams to determine the season winner followed by a wonderful dinner.

League Winners

The summer league was won this year by Barb Kolodge, Robyn Schroeder, Sylvia Korby, Jackie Erickson, Emily Beyer, and Connie Cooley of team Nothing But Dust. Be sure to congratulate the team if you see them around.

Thank you to all the teams that competed this season. We look forward to seeing all of you throughout the month of September and again next summer.

Open Shooting & Winter League

Old Vermilion will stay open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through the end of September for open shooting. We’re also getting ready for the 2019 Winter 5-Stand League by expanding our 5-Stand house with a large heated area so we can accommodate more teams. The winter league starts February 2nd.

Our Sporting Clays range is one of the most beautiful and interesting ranges in the entire state. Spread out over 450 acres of wooded terrain 20 minutes north of Duluth.
